1. Stop line position
Your front bumper should reach the stop line, not cross it. Hold the view so you can see both sides clearly.
2. Angle of the car
Keep the car straight at most junctions. Beginners often point the car too early, which creates a swing toward oncoming traffic.
3. Left turns
Stay tight to the left edge without touching it. This gives you a clean turn and avoids cutting the corner.
4. Right turns
Hold a central position. Don’t drift left. Use a tiny right-side gap to shape a smooth turn.
5. Emerging from a closed junction
Move forward slowly until you get a full view. Learners often rush the roll and block the main road.
6. Lane choice at multi-lane junctions
Pick your lane early. Keep your car centred in that lane. Drifting sets you up for a wrong exit or messy merge.
7. Watching the steering wheel, not the road
Eyes first. Steering follows. Look where you want the car to go before you move the wheel.
Quick tip:
Good junction control comes from slow movement and clear planning. If you can position the car right, the turn becomes simple.
