Automatic is becoming more and more prominent with every passing day. We also offer driving lessons in automatic transmission vehicles for students that are interested in driving to drive automatic only.
The most favoured transmission in the UK, and indeed Europe - our teachers are experts in teaching new drivers clutch control and how to shift smoothly to make the most out of a manual transmission.
Understandably, a lot of drivers are nervous when they first pass. Our instructors do their best to ensure that you have a comfortable, pleasant experience and that you enjoy your time driving.
Our fees are fair and not excessive, as you’d expect from the instructor industry
From Start to Finish
Our instructors stay with you from start to finish, ensuring we both teach you and pass you!
We work with your schedule, ensuring you are able to book lessons when you need them
We work in many locations, Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford, Chilworth, and more
Many more cars (primarily performance and luxury cars) are coming in auomatic only, and the prominence of automatic gearboxes is undeniable. They are smoother, and much more relaxing to drive.
At Ahmed driving school, we teach our students in both automatic and manual cars depending on the license you want to get.
Regardless of your transmission choice, you still receive the same great experience and the same quality of teaching regarding maneuvers and techniques.
Can I drive manual if I want to?
If you have an automatic license, you will not be legally qualified nor permitted to drive a manual vehicle with a user operated clutch.
Even if you plan on purchasing an automatic vehicle, it is advisable to go for a full drivers license that includes manual and automatic, for versatility.
Are automatics any better?
It is completely down to preference; automatics are more relaxing to drive, and if you travel a lot, particularly in heavy traffic, it can stop your foot and leg becoming fatigued from constantly depressing a clutch.
